BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met with Austrian Parliament Speaker Wolfgang Sobotka on Wednesday, noting that Austria is an important partner of Serbia in various fields, especially in economic cooperation, which he said was expected to strengthen further.
Vucic said Serbia highly appreciated Austria's support on the path to EU membership and in maintaining peace and stability in the Western Balkans, the presidential press office said in a statement.
Vucic noted that Belgrade was fully committed to the dialogue with Pristina and ready to work on implementing the concept of a European proposal but that there were certain limitations in line with the principles of international law.
He presented the limitations to Sobotka, as well as the necessity of the establishment of a Community of Serb Municipalities and fulfilment of Pristina's commitments from the Brussels Agreement and previous agreements.
