BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic announced on Thursday he would likely sign next week a decision banning any further exports of ammunition and arms as Serbia's vital national interests were in extreme jeopardy.
"All that is necessary must be prepared in case of an aggression on the Republic of Serbia. All logistical preparations are underway," Vucic said in a public address.
Asked by a reporter whether Serbia was preparing for war, Vucic said Serbia had done everything in its power to de-escalate the conflict in Kosovo-Metohija.
"Whatever we do, we will always be the ones to blame. That did not start yesterday, but who knows how many years ago. Serbia is ready to protect the lives of our people and itself as a country from all those who want to jeopardise its integrity and sovereignty," Vucic said.
