Dacic receives farewell visit from UAE ambassador

BELGRADE - Serbian First Deputy PM and FM Ivica Dacic received a farewell visit from UAE Ambassador to Belgrade Mubarak Said Al Dhaheri on Wednesday.

In a cordial atmosphere, Dacic noted Al Dhaheri's exceptional contribution to development of overall bilateral relations, based on friendship and a strategic partnership, the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.

Dacic thanked the UAE for supporting Serbia's successful bid to host EXPO 2027 and noted that cooperation between the two countries at multilateral level was very successful.

Thanking Dacic for the exceptional cooperation in the past years, Al Dhaheri said that, during his tenure in Belgrade - which he noted had not been easy in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the global financial crisis and complex global circumstances - Serbia and the UAE had succeeded in overcoming many difficulties together through close cooperation at high and the highest level.
