BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Wednesday he had had an excellent meeting with Italian Minister for Business and Made in Italy Adolfo Urso earlier in the day to discuss numerous topics of mutual interest to Belgrade and Rome and, in particular, critical resources.
"I expressed satisfaction with the fact Serbia is Italy's largest external trade partner in the Western Balkans, which says enough about the stability of our economy and Serbia's accelerated growth. I expressed the expectation new Italian investments will be made in our country in the period to come as potentials for investments are enormous, especially if you have in mind the diverse possibilities opening up in our comprehensive preparations for EXPO 2027," Vucic wrote in a post on his buducnostsrbijeav Instagram account.
He added that he had taken the opportunity to once again thank Italy for consistently supporting Serbia on the EU path, and noted that the two countries maintained a long tradition of good and friendly relations they would continue to strengthen together.
