Vucic: I requested China's support in fight for truth about Kosovo-Metohija

NEW YORK - At a meeting with Chinese Vice President Han Zheng, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic requested China's support in the fight for the truth and respect of international law regarding Kosovo-Metohija.

"I informed Vice President Han of the increasingly grave situation of Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija and requested China's support in the fight for the truth and respect of international law," Vucic wrote in a post on his buducnostsrbijeav Instagram account.

Meeting on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York on Thursday, Vucic and Han reviewed several matters, from the present geopolitical situation and joint efforts to preserve peace to continued strengthening of the friendly relations and the partnership between their countries and the two peoples.

Vucic said they had also discussed his upcoming visit to China in mid-October, when Serbia and China are due to sign a FTA, which he noted would drastically change and boost overall bilateral relations.

"I asked Vice President Han to convey to President Xi and the PRC Serbia's gratitude for the consistent support and the sincere friendship," Vucic noted in the post.
