BELGRADE - Officers of the Serbian Criminal Police Directorate on Tuesday searched a flat and other premises used by Milan Radoicic, placing him in 48-hour police detention.
A criminal complaint was filed against Radoicic, who was taken to the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade, the police said in a statement.
On September 30, Radoicic responded to a call by the Serbian authorities and gave a statement to police about the September 24 clashes in the Banjska village in the north of Kosovo-Metohija, in which three local Serbs and one officer of the so-called Kosovo Police were killed.
Previously, in a press statement read out by his lawyer, Radoicic announced that he had tendered his irrevocable resignation from the post of Srpska lista deputy leader and said he had gone to the Banjska area with a group of other Serbs on September 24 to encourage local Serbs to resist the terror by Albin Kurti's regime.
