BELGRADE - Air Serbia General Manager Commercial and Strategy Bosko Rupic said on Monday the airline had carried over 1,000 passengers from the region from Tel Aviv since the outbreak of the conflict in Israel.
"Flights from Belgrade to Tel Aviv are also filled to capacity, the travellers are Israeli nationals who want to be with their families in this situation," Rupic told the RTS.
He said the security situation was being watched closely and that the flights depended on risk assessments, and added that, for the time being, Air Serbia continued to fly to Israel four times a week.
Flights to Tel Aviv are safe, he said.
He said a total of over 1,000 passengers from Serbia, North Macedonia, Bulgaria and Montenegro had been carried on five scheduled and two repatriation flights from Israel.
"The lists (of passengers) were coordinated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, our embassies, diplomatic and consular representative offices in Israel and between our country and other countries," Rupic said, noting that one of the repatriation flights had been arranged by the governments of Serbia and North Macedonia.
