Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians electoral list approved

BELGRADE - Serbia's national electoral commission on Wednesday approved an Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians electoral list for the December 17 early parliamentary polls in Serbia.

The electoral list, named Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians - For Our President, For Our Community, For The Future, will be a national minority list.

The list, supported by 11,137 legally valid signatures, has no leader and Balint Pastor and Elvira Kovac are the first two candidates for MPs.

It is the sixth electoral list approved since November 1, when Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic called parliamentary elections for December 17.

The other five lists approved to date are Aleksandar Vucic - Serbia Must Not Stop, Ivica Dacic PM of Serbia, Dr Vojislav Seselj - Serbian Radical Party, the list of a coalition formed by the Serbian Dveri Movement and the Serbian Oathkeepers Party, named National Gathering - State-building Strength, and the Dr Milos Jovanovic - Hope for Serbia list.

The Serbia Against Violence coalition submitted its electoral list earlier in the day.
