BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic on Wednesday welcomed Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides at a red carpet and guard of honour ceremony outside the Palace of Serbia in Belgrade.
A Serbian delegation that greeted Christodoulides, who is on a two-day official visit to Belgrade, also included Defence Minister Milos Vucevic and FM Ivica Dacic.
The ceremony was followed by a meeting between Vucic and Christodoulides, after which the two presidents will hold a joint press conference.
The schedule of the visit also includes a plenary meeting of Serbian and Cypriot delegations.
On the second day of the visit, a council on Serbia-Cyprus cooperation will hold a session, after which several MoUs will be signed at a ceremony to be attended by the two heads of state.
"Welcome, dear friend. I am glad about your visit and I am confident that, through joint work, we will strengthen the cooperation and friendship between our states and our peoples," Vucic wrote in an Instagram post after welcoming Christodoulides.
