Serbia, Kazakhstan sign MoUs in culture, sports

BELGRADE - Serbia and Kazakhstan signed MoUs in culture and sports in Belgrade on Wednesday at a ceremony also attended by Serbian FM Ivica Dacic.

The MoU in culture was signed by Serbian Culture Minister Maja Gojkovic and Kazakh FM Murat Nurtleu, who also signed the MoU in sports with Serbian Minister of Sports Zoran Gajic.

After a meeting with Nurtleu, Dacic said he was pleased with the minister's visit and noted that it was the first bilateral visit to Serbia by a Kazakh FM.

"Our bilateral relations are traditionally good and friendly. Serbia remains firmly committed to further development and advancement and deepening of overall cooperation with Kazakhstan," Dacic said.

Nurtleu said Serbia was a dependable partner and a friend to Kazakhstan, as well as an esteemed member of the international community with strong political options, a strong position and an economy that was seeing dynamic development.

"We had rich and productive discussions with my esteemed colleague Dacic about comprehensive ties between the two countries, and we agreed to determine promising areas of bilateral cooperation systemically and take concrete measures," Nurtleu said.
