Dacic receives farewell visit from Order of Malta ambassador

BELGRADE - Serbian First Deputy PM and FM Ivica Dacic received a farewell visit from the Ambassador of the Sovereign Order of Malta Alberto Di Luca on Monday.

Dacic thanked Di Luca for his successful tenure in the past 13 years and, especially, for carrying out charity campaigns aimed at helping Serbia's most underprivileged population.

Dacic said friendly relations were being cherished for centuries, noting that Serbia was not forgetting the fact the Sovereign Order of Malta had donated a ten-car hospital train to the Kingdom of Serbia in 1885.

Di Luca said he was sad to be leaving Serbia and his ambassadorial post in Belgrade and noted that Serbia was a wonderful country of exceptional people and that he was proud of the strong friendship between the Sovereign Order of Malta and Serbia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia said in a statement.
