KRAGUJEVAC - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Thursday he was confident the Serbian Progressive Party's (SNS) Serbia Must Not Stop electoral list would win an absolute majority of seats in the parliament in Sunday's elections.
During a visit to the construction site of a bypass road around Kragujevac, central Serbia, Vucic said he was confident the SNS would have over 125 seats in the parliament and added that the people should vote in the elections.
"I believe that, on our own, we will have an absolute majority of seats in the parliament. That is the goal, I would not be happy or pleased with anything else," Vucic told reporters.
He said he was confident the SNS would win a landslide victory in all cities where some opposition parties had announced their win.
"They themselves do not believe what they are saying, and they are hoping someone will let them win in Belgrade. No one is going to let them, and no one will give away votes to them or take any votes away from them," Vucic said.
