Djurdjevic Stamenkovski: National Gathering to be a major element of changes

BELGRADE - The National Gathering coalition, formed by the Serbian Oathkeepers Party and the Serbian Dveri Movement, will be one of the major elements of future changes and an important part of a future government of Serbia, Milica Djurdjevic Stamenkovski, who heads the opposition coalition's electoral list, said after voting in Sunday's polls.

Speaking to reporters at a polling station in Belgrade's Vozdovac municipality, Djurdjevic Stamenkovski said she wanted the elections to be fair.

"We are monitoring and observing the vote alertly at all polling stations and pointing out all irregularities, noting that we will fight to protect the citizens' will. I expect no incidents in the evening and a calm night, and a celebration of a good result by the political forces that want to bring changes to Serbia and that do not want Serbia to stay the same as it was but to start seeing improvement," she said.

She said National Gathering, as an important element of a future Serbian government, would be able to influence political processes, assume responsibility and start changing the present adverse circumstances.
