Orlic attends inaugural ceremony of Guatemalan president

BELGRADE - Serbian Parliament Speaker Vladimir Orlic attended the inaugural ceremony of Guatemalan President Bernardo Arevalo de Leon, whom he thanked him for Guatemala's principled support regarding respect of Serbia's territorial integrity and sovereignty.

Orlic attended the ceremony during an official visit to Guatemala, as an envoy of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, the Serbian parliament said in a statement.

He conveyed to de Leon Vucic's congratulations and wishes for success and prosperity of the Republic of Guatemala.

Orlic said he was confident the two countries would continue to strengthen their friendship, which is more than 140 years long and characterised by mutual understanding, respect and support on all important issues.

He also met with Mexican FM Alicia Barcena, Organisation of American States Secretary General Luis Almagro, Morocco's House of Representatives President Rachid Talbi Alami and numerous other international officials who attended the ceremony, the statement said.
