BELGRADE - Representatives of the opposition Serbia Against Violence coalition walked out of Thursday's meeting with the ruling coalition on implementation of ODIHR recommendations.
At a press conference in the lobby of the parliament building, the representatives did not elaborate on whether they would take part in further dialogue on the matter.
Democratic Party leader Zoran Lutovac told reporters he had proposed that the agenda of the meeting be amended and that ODIHR recommendations that were the preconditions for all further recommendations be met first.
"We have made a request about what needs to be discussed. If they (the ruling coalition) do not want to talk about that but about their topics, it does not make much sense. We sincerely hope they will agree to discuss the essence of the problem," Lutovac said.
He said the opposition wanted discussions on the electoral roll, the media and holding local elections in Belgrade and some municipalities in Serbia on the same day.
