Gasic discusses development of cooperation between Serbian, Azerbaijani defence industries

BAKU - Serbian Defence Minister Bratislav Gasic met with Azerbaijani Defence Industry Minister Vugar Mustafayev in Baku on Friday to discuss cooperation between the defence industries of the two countries, which the ministers agreed should chiefly be reflected in project implementation and knowledge-sharing.

Gasic and Mustafayev said further development of bilateral relations in the field was a mutual interest that also encouraged the good overall relations between Serbia and Azerbaijan, the Serbian MoD said in a statement.

Gasic confirmed the ministry would take part in an international defence fair to be hosted by Azerbaijan in September.

The parties concluded that defence industry cooperation was good and that there was major potential to advance it further.
