Vucic meets with Switzerland's Jans

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met with Swiss Federal Councillor of Justice and Police Beat Jans in Belgrade on Wednesday and noted a need for a rational approach to all current political issues and for preserving independence of decision-making to maintain peace and stability to ensure a safe environment to all citizens.
"A productive meeting with Minister Jens, with whom I exchanged views on the current geopolitical challenges, including the impact of war conflicts on the security situation in Europe and globally as well as the migration issue and the growing threat of terrorism," Vucic wrote in a post on his buducnostsrbijeav Instagram account.
He said he had noted an urgent need to tighten preventive measures and design new strategies to boost general security and noted that Serbia approached this with the highest degree of seriousness and responsibility.
"I noted our country's readiness to deepen cooperation, exchange information, initiate joint training and share experiences as well as make coordinated efforts with the aim of resolving all urgent issues," Vucic wrote.
