BELGRADE - Serbian football giants Red Star Belgrade have announced that head coach Milos Milojevic's contract was expiring at the end of the season.
In a statement on Thursday, the club thanked Milojevic for his excellent cooperation and the club's success during his tenure.
Under Milojevic's stewardship, Red Star won their 34th league title this season and are on the right track to win another double as they will also play in the Serbian cup final on May 25.
"I would like to thank Red Star for giving me an opportunity to prove myself on the big scene as a young coach. We have had excellent cooperation and I have been trying to be professional, I have given my all and I will do so until the end of my tenure as Red Star head coach. I have a great desire that we win the Serbian cup together, and to be a supporter starting from June 1, as I was in the past," Milojevic said in a statement.
"I wish Red Star the best in the Champions League. I am certain that they will be competitive and that changes will bring good things," he added.
