BELGRADE - Commenting on the Serbian government's first hundred days in office, Finance Minister Sinisa Mali said on Wednesday Serbia continued to achieve excellent economic results, as also confirmed by macroeconomic indicators.
"Serbia was the fastest-growing European economy in the second half of this year, since our economy grew by 4.5 pct in that period. Also, our public debt is fully under control, below 50 pct, the employment rate is rising constantly, unemployment is declining and we also have record-high foreign currency and gold reserves," Mali told Tanjug.
Serbia is also seeing a record-high FDI inflow, which rose by 16 pct in the first half of this year compared to the same period of last year, he said.
