BELGRADE - Serbia's caretaker Finance Minister Sinisa Mali met with European and US investors in the Ministry of Finance building on Wednesday.
The investors, who have been investing in Serbian securities for many years, agreed Serbia's macroeconomic position remained strong despite protests in the country.
"Despite months of protests in our country, the investors agreed that our macroeconomic position is still strong, that our economy is resilient to internal and global shocks, but are, on the other hand, cautious when it comes to the long-term effect of current developments on economic activity," Mali wrote in an Instagram post.
The meeting also addressed the specialised EXPO 2027 in Belgrade and its legacy as, in the future, the site of the expo will be home to the city fair grounds, museums, sports pitches and courts, hotels and schools.
