BELGRADE - Serbian PM Ana Brnabic on Thursday chaired a session of a council tasked with coordinating measures and activities promoting GDP growth.

The council discussed the most significant projects.

It concluded that, in Q1 2023, industrial production rebounded and that the services sector saw growth, the Serbian government said in a statement.

External trade and the energy sector registered growth and capital projects were implemented to a major extent, especially in the field of road and railway infrastructure, the council said.

Every project matters and every ministry, local self-government authority or public enterprise must work with commitment to meet project completion deadlines to help economic growth, Brnabic said.

The council also said new markets must be found for wheat, maize and raspberry exports, and placed special emphasis on additional subsidies for livestock farming and the eAgriculture system.
