Gouillon urges French businesses to invest in Serbia

BELGRADE - The head of the Directorate for Cooperation with the Diaspora and Serbs in the Region Arnaud Gouillon on Wednesday welcomed a delegation of French businesspeople led by Serbia's Honorary Consul to France Philippe Mangeard, and invited them to consider investing in Serbia.

"Serbia is seeing quick economic development. In the Western Balkan region, it is the leading economy with great potential. Besides, Serbia and France are connected by historically close ties between the two peoples, which facilitates cooperation in all fields," an official statement quoted Gouillon as saying.

Besides businesspeople, the French delegation also included Honorary Senate Adviser Marie Pascal Girard, Honorary Senate Secretary-General Jean Louis Girard and Malta's Honorary Consul to France Pascal Perez.
