XIAMEN - Serbia has made the most of the chance to present its potential and investment opportunities at the 24th China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) in Xiamen, Serbian Minister of Internal and External Trade Tomislav Momirovic told Tanjug on Thursday at the end of a working visit to China.

Momirovic said agreements had been signed under which three Chinese hi-tech companies would invest 400 mln euros in an industrial park in Belgrade.

He said the fair, one of the largest in the world, was very important for further development of Serbia-China bilateral economic cooperation.

"For us, it is important to have continuity at CIFIT. Serbia is featuring at the fair for a fifth consecutive year already. We were the guest host country in 2023 and our presence here is important also because this province, Fujian, is where Xi Jinping was governor before he became president (of China). It is also a province where Zijin, Serbia's top exporter, is operating," Momirovic said.

He also said the Serbian booth at the fair featured a slightly different layout this year, focusing on a FTA signed with China.
