Brnabic: Serbia will never give up on Kosovo-Metohija

BELGRADE - Serbian Parliament Speaker Ana Brnabic said on Thursday Serbia would never give up on the autonomous province of Kosovo-Metohija as its integral part within its internationally recognised borders that were inviolable under international law and the UN Charter.

Speaking to Happy TV, Brnabic said Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic had pointed that out clearly in his address to the UN General Assembly, warning that the use of double standards and the opening of Pandora's box had not happened with Ukraine, but with the aggression on Serbia and the then FR Yugoslavia in 1999, and then, once again, with the violation of international law and the UN Charter in 2008.

"In 2008, the big and mighty helped some people in Pristina to declare the so-called independence and rushed to recognise that independence. That is when Pandora's box was opened, and when the precedents and double standards that all the big and mighty continue to misuse whenever they want and in the way it suits them were created," Brnabic said.
