DAVOS - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Wednesday evening he would always be offering dialogue to students who were blocking faculty buildings in Serbia and added that he was always open to receiving them and speaking with them.

He also announced there would be serious changes in Serbia but no transitional government.

"I am always ready to talk and always ready for dialogue, I am always ready to hear them out to see which of their demands have not been met," Vucic told Pink TV in Davos, where he is attending the World Economic Forum.

Speaking about a major rally to be held in Jagodina, central Serbia, on Friday, he said he was preparing a speech about the future and about where Serbia wanted to be heading to.

The speech will also be about what should be done in Serbia, he said.

"The goal for many in the region, Europe and the world is not for Serbia to pause, but to stop. Once it stops, Serbia is done. I will be speaking about principles, results," he said.

He said a movement to be established would start taking in members from March 15 and would likely be registered on June 28.

"I think that is essential for the country, and that a partially new team and new energy must be formed. There has to be fresh blood. There must also be more knowledge and sufficient courage and desire to work and make progress," he said.

He said the Jagodina rally was no counter-rally as it was not aimed against anyone.

"It is a gathering to unite all intelligent and normal people in Serbia. All the people who do not believe in colour revolutions started from abroad. It is a gathering of people who want to support a freedom-loving and independent Serbia," Vucic said.

There will be serious changes but no transitional government whatsoever, Vucic noted, adding that he was not only referring to the national government but to local authorities as well.

"We must do all that to prepare and finish our work by 2027, and then we must come out with an offer, a plan for the people about what we will be doing in the four or five years that will follow. We must also see who we will support for president of Serbia at that time. Those are important things," Vucic said.

Commenting on allegations he would have the constitution amended so that he could run for president again, Vucic said:

"I have no desire for another term. I have no intent whatsoever of changing the Constitution of Serbia."
