Kosovo-Metohija Serbs live in impossible conditions, Vucic tells Kasanof

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met with US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for the Western Balkans Alexander Kasanof in Belgrade on Wednesday and pointed out that Kosovo-Metohija Serbs live in nearly impossible conditions.

"Speaking about the situation in the region, I primarily noted the extremely difficult and complex situation in Kosovo-Metohija and pointed out the nearly impossible conditions in which Serbs live in Kosovo-Metohija. I noted that constructive dialogue takes two sides, as well as that Serbia remains committed to dialogue and peaceful resolution of problems, in spite of unnecessary unilateral escalations of tensions," Vucic wrote in an Instagram post.

Vucic also noted the importance of Serbia-US dialogue and, especially, an open exchange on issues the two sides disagree on.

Vucic added that the meeting had especially addressed numerous potentials for strengthening of bilateral relations along with advancement of cooperation in various areas, such as energy and new investments in numerous major projects Serbia had plans for.
