BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, who chaired a National Security Council session on Wednesday, said Serbian authorities would do everything in their power to safeguard the safety and security of the citizens amid a complex geopolitical situation in the world.
"With the members of the National Security Council, I exchanged information on the security situation in Serbia and we also discussed current developments both in our country and globally. In this complex and uneasy geopolitical turmoil, we will do everything in our power to safeguard the safety and security of our citizens and our Serbia," Vucic wrote in an Instagram post.
The session, called by Vucic earlier in the day, was also attended by PM Milos Vucevic, ministers Ivica Dacic, Maja Popovic and Bratislav Gasic, Serbian Armed Forces Chief of General Staff Gen Milan Mojsilovic, Security and Information Agency Director Vladimir Orlic, Military Intelligence Agency Director Zoran Stojkovic and police chiefs.
