TSC through to UEFA Conference League knock-out stage

BACKA TOPOLA, Dec 20 (Tanjug) - Serbian football side TSC Backa Topola defeated Armenia's Noah Yerevan 4-3 at home in a UEFA Conference League Match Day 6 game on Thursday evening to secure a berth in the competition's knock-out stage.

Matheus Aias put the visitors in front in the 5th minute and Elder Fereira doubled the lead in the 15th minute.

Petar Stanic clawed one back in the 41st minute but Aias made it 3-1 in the 48th minute.

Ifet Djakovac netted in the 74th and the 76th minute to draw level and Milos Pantovic scored the winner for TSC in the 81st minute to send his club to the knock-out stage, which is a historic success for the Backa Topola outfit.

With seven points won, TSC have finished the league stage of the competition in the 24th position and will face Jagiellonia Bialystok (Poland) or Shamrock Rovers Dublin (Ireland) in the knock-out stage.
