Djuric receives Ropke

BELGRADE - Serbian FM Marko Djuric received European Economic and Social Committee President Oliver Ropke in Belgrade on Friday, underscoring that full EU membership was a strategic commitment and a foreign policy priority of Serbia.
Djuric noted that Serbia was ready to complete by end-2026 all necessary reforms for EU accession, and added that this was a very ambitious but, at the same time, a priority task, the Serbian MFA said in a statement.
He thanked the EU for supporting the reforms under the EU's Growth Plan for the Western Balkans and for assisting their implementation financially, and noted that Serbia had adopted a reform agenda and that its administrative capabilities were more than prepared to implement it.
In view of overall economic growth and development, maintaining of positive relations in the wider region as well as regular dialogue and joint work with partners on promoting cooperation and stability in the Western Balkans, Djuric said Serbia was seeing a momentum in building new relations.
Speaking about foreign policy priorities, Djuric especially touched upon regional cooperation, noting that Serbia was devoting great attention to its advancement and to cherishing the best possible goodneighbourly relations.
