LIBREVILLE - Serbian Culture Minister Nikola Selakovic, who is on a three-day official visit to Gabon, met with the country's PM Raymond Ndong Sima in Libreville on Wednesday.
Selakovic, who also co-chairs a Serbia-Gabon commission on cooperation, presented Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic's special invitation to Gabon to the specialised EXPO 2027.
He sincerely thanked Sima for Gabon's support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia on the Kosovo-Metohija issue, as well as for the backing provided to Belgrade in the UN regarding a Srebrenica resolution.
"We will not forget that, and it is a confirmation of the true and substantial friendship between the two countries," Selakovic said.
He said he was glad to be meeting with Sima for a second time, after the Gabonese PM paid an official visit to Belgrade in May.
Conveying the greetings of Serbian PM Milos Vucevic, who hosted Sima during the visit, Selakovic said that "once a diplomatic agreement is reached, Vucevic is ready to visit Gabon and organise a business forum of Serbian and Gabonese businesspeople."
The work of the commission on cooperation is very important for Serbia, as is the fact that it is meeting for the first time in 44 years, Selakovic said.
"In that sense, the main task of the commission is to define concrete priorities in the development of our relations. It will be my pleasure to work on that task with my colleague, the Gabonese minister of institutional reform," Selakovic said.
Welcoming the Serbian guests, Sima said he hoped their stay in his country would be successful and fruitful.
