Vucic, Koopman discuss Serbia's EU path, reform agenda

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met with the Director-General of the European Commission's Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations Directorate Gert Jan Koopman in Belgrade on Monday to discuss Serbia's EU path, the reform agenda and possibilities for new steps in the EU accession process.

In a post on his buducnostsrbijeav Instagram account, Vucic wrote that he had informed Koopman of Serbia's progress in the reform process as well as of plans to accelerate the dynamics of delivering on the agenda.

"I reiterated the expectation that the efforts will be recognised by the member states as soon as possible and supported by a consensus on opening Cluster 3 in our accession process," Vucic added.

He thanked Koopman for supporting Serbia on the path of growth, modernisation and meeting the conditions for EU membership.
