TIRANA - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met with Dutch PM Mark Rutte on the sidelines of an EU-Western Balkans summit in Tirana on Tuesday, thanking him for supporting Serbia's European path.
In a post on his buducnostsrbijeav Instagram account that also included a photo from the meeting, Vucic wrote that he had had an excellent and cordial meeting with Rutte and that he had noted Serbia's commitment to social and economic reforms.
"I noted that stabilisation of the situation in the region is a crucial interest for Serbia and that I am confident the Netherlands will be a strong partner in our efforts to resolve all open regional issues through dialogue," Vucic said.
He added that they had discussed a growing interest among potential Dutch investors in doing business in Serbia.
"We agreed that the good bilateral relations between our countries will be strengthened especially through economic cooperation. One of the topics was the first good results produced by the alignment of our visa regime with the EU, whereby the wave of illegal migration has already been visibly reduced," Vucic also said.
