BELGRADE - The situation in Kosovo-Metohija is difficult and the disgruntlement and anger of the Serb population in the province over violations of the vehicle licence plate agreement and all other agreements, as well as over daily arrests of Serbs, is culminating, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said after a meeting with representatives of Kosovo-Metohija Serbs in Belgrade on Friday.
"We will have a longer address next week, on Good Thursday or Good Friday. I first had consultations with the most significant representatives of Srpska lista and our authorities and representatives of institutions and authorities in Kosovo-Metohija. We discussed all problems and the security situation, which is difficult," Vucic said.
He said his idea had been that a joint stance be agreed and announced after the meeting but that that had turned out to be impossible.
"So I retreated, and we agreed to continue to work together with all our teams over the next seven days so that we can come out with a joint statement," Vucic added.
