Vucic: Difficult period ahead over Kosovo-Metohija

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Friday evening in Belgrade a difficult period was ahead for Serbia over the Kosovo-Metohija issue.

"We have no way out, they have pinned us down from all angles with deceptions and tricks and, with our backs to the wall like this, we have no way out except to defend our country and protect the people. I will fight for every second of peace, but I am telling you - one attack on Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija, and Serbia will not sit with its arms crossed," Vucic said in a speech at a pro-government rally titled A Serbia of Hope, reiterating that there would be no expulsions of Kosovo-Metohija Serbs.

He also announced that Serbia's National Security Council would meet later in the evening to discuss the latest developments in Kosovo-Metohija.
