BELGRADE, Sept 28 (Tanjug) - The head of the Serbian government Office for Kosovo-Metohija Petar Petkovic said on Thursday the Eulex mission had not been allowed to take part in an investigation following last weekend's clashes in Banjska in the north of Kosovo-Metohija because Pristina wanted to hide that the Serbs killed in the clashes had been brutally murdered.

"Why is now everyone silent and why no one else except (Serbian President Aleksandar) Vucic is saying the Kosovo police secured the site of the incident on its own and did not allow Eulex to take part in that? Why has Eulex said nothing about that? I will tell you: Eulex took no part in the investigation by the Kosovo police because the police wanted to hide evidence and the fact the Serbs were brutally murdered by the Kosovo police. That is what was to be hidden from Eulex and from an independent investigation," Petkovic told a press conference.

He called on the international community and independent experts to carry out an independent investigation and an autopsy with assistance from Serbian pathologists.

"We have information that the families (of the Serbs killed) have identified the bodies and that Bojan (Mijailovic) is mutilated. I have photos, but they are not blurred. He was shot from point blank range, his head is mutilated," Petkovic said.

He noted that Belgrade had obtained reliable information, evidence, photos and testimonies of protected witnesses.

Petkovic said that, according to the testimonies, Mijailovic - a father of two small children - had been murdered in cold blood by the so-called Kosovo Police after sustaining a minor wound in the clashes and surrendering.
