Dacic extends condolences to Iran over deaths of Raisi, Amir-Amirabdollahian

BELGRADE - Serbian Deputy PM and Interior Minister Ivica Dacic extended condolences to the leadership and the people of Iran on Monday over the tragic deaths of President Ebrahim Raisi and FM Hossein Amir-Abdollahian.
"I was shaken by the news of the tragic deaths of President Ebrahim Raisi, FM Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and the members of his high-ranking delegation. The people of Iran have lost a committed leader who was loyal to his country and the senior duty he was performing. Serbia has lost a proven friend and an important partner with whom we worked sincerely to the benefit of the traditional closeness between our peoples," Dacic said in a statement.
He added that Amir-Abdollahian had been committed to constant advancement of ties with Serbia and that the passing of Raisi and the members of his high-ranking delegation was an enormous loss for Iran, its people and its state leadership, the statement also said.
