BELGRADE - Serbian Parliament Speaker Ana Brnabic, who is also the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) commissioner for Belgrade, said work on establishing all local authorities and fulfilling all promises made to the people would start on Monday.
Speaking about the results achieved by the SNS in Sunday's local elections in Serbia, Brnabic thanked the citizens for showing responsibility and for saying, more clearly than ever before, that they wanted Serbia to continue to work and continue to develop.
She thanked "the people, the citizens, all the people who turned out to vote."
"I think having 53 pct (of votes) in Belgrade, 53 pct in Novi Sad and, i think, 48 pct or more in Nis will never happen again in history. Those are unprecedented things and a really great responsibility for us," Brnabic said in an appearance on Happy TV.
"Starting from today, we will begin working on establishing all structures of local government authorities and on fulfilling all promises and plans," she said.
