Serbian government appoints Orlic BIA director

BELGRADE - The Serbian government decided on Thursday to appoint Vladimir Orlic director of the Security Information Agency (BIA).

Orlic's appointment was approved by the National Security Council on Wednesday at a session chaired by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.

The approval was issued pursuant to the Law on the Foundations of Regulation of the Security Services of the Republic of Serbia, under which the Council gives its opinion on government proposals to appoint the chiefs of security services or relieve them of their duties.
