Djokovic/Verdasco through to quarter-finals of Doha men's doubles

DOHA - The Serbian-Spanish pairing of Novak Djokovic and Fernando Verdasco is through to the quarter-finals of the men's doubles event at the Doha ATP tournament after a 6-1, 6-1 victory over the Kazakh-Russian duo of Alexander Bublik and Karen Khachanov in the round of 16 on Monday.

Djokovic and Verdasco, who won after 49 minutes of play, will next face second seeds Harri Heliovaara of Finland and Hanry Patten of Great Britain, who recently won the Australian Open.

In the opening round of the men's singles event, Djokovic will face Italian Matteo Berrettini on Tuesday.

The prize money in Doha is 2,760,000 dollars.
