BELGRADE - Red Star Belgrade drew 2-2 at home with Swiss side Young Boys in a UEFA Champions League Group G match on Wednesday evening.
In front of 50,000 spectators at the Rajko Mitic Stadium, Red Star's Cherif Ndiaye opened the scoring in the 35th minute following an Osman Bukari assist, and the goal was rightly allowed to stand after a VAR check.
Bukari had a goal disallowed by VAR for offside in first-half injury time.
Filip Ugrinic equalised in the 48th minute and Cedric Itten put Young Boys in the lead from a VAR penalty following a Nasser Djiga handball.
Bukari made it 2-2 in the 88th minute after a Jean-Philippe Krasso assist.
In the other Group G game, Manchester City beat RB Leipzig 3-1 away.
Red Star next play RB Leipzig away on October 25, with Young Boys to host Manchester City.
