BELGRADE - Losing to Germany in the World Cup final was very tough, but life goes on and next summer's Olympic Games in Paris will be another opportunity to win a gold medal, Bogdan Bogdanovic, captain of the Serbia men's national basketball team, has told the basketball news portal Eurohoops.
The World Cup final defeat in Manila last summer meant that Serbia won its fifth silver at major competitions since it started competing as an independent country.
Asked about the challenge of facing Team USA if it had all its stars, Bogdanovic responded:
"I think that's too far. I would love to compete against them, first of all. It would definitely be a career achievement because you cannot find that type of team in any league in the world... They have won a lot of NBA championships, they already have Olympic gold medals, World Cup medals," the Atlanta Hawks player said.
