BELGRADE - Serbian Minister of Information and Telecommunications Dejan Ristic met with the EBRD Director for the Western Balkans Matteo Colangeli in Belgrade on Monday.
The parties said successful implementation of joint projects would be continued.
They said they were pleased with the way joint activities were being carried out and agreed to step them up further, the Ministry of Information and Telecommunications said in a statement.
The EBRD is one of the largest investors in Serbia, focusing on support for the private sector, advancement of infrastructure and promotion of green transition.
Since 2001, it has invested over 8.8 bln euros in Serbia through more than 340 projects, the statement said, noting that the EBRD supported reforms in the energy, transport and digitalisation sectors was well as in economic inclusion, with special focus on financing for SMEs.
The ministry and the EBRD engage on implementation of two loans for Phase 1 and Phase 2 of a project to build broadband communications infrastructure in Serbia's rural regions, the statement also said.
