LEBANE - Serbian PM Ana Brnabic said on Friday the state coffers were stable and that the 2022 GDP amounted a record-high 60.3 bln euros.
"We have stable state coffers, the deficit at the end of 2022 was at 3.3 pct of GDP and the public debt was at 55.2 pct of GDP and is declining further," Brnabic said in Lebane, southern Serbia, at a presentation of her government's work during its first 100 days in office.
She noted that, by comparison, the debt-to-GDP ratio had stood at 56.5 pct at the end of 2021.
She said Serbia had repaid a 100 bln dinar debt on January 25, reducing the debt-to-GDP ratio further.
She said 2022 growth was below projections as no one had expected a war in eastern Europe.
"We registered 2.3-2.5 pct growth, with GDP amounting to a record-high 60.3 bln euros. Despite all difficulties, we had 4.4 bln euros of foreign investments. In the first 100 days, we tried to move forward when it comes to attracting foreign investments because they guarantee continuous growth of wages and pensions," Brnabic said.
