BELGRADE - Serbian prices of goods and services used for personal consumption increased by an average of 1.4 pct m-o-m and 16.1 pct y-o-y in February 2023, according to figures released by the national statistical office RZS.
Relative to December 2022, consumer prices increased by an average of 2.8 pct in February 2023.
"Observed by main groups according to the destination of consumption in February 2023 in relation to the previous month, an increase of prices was noted in the groups Food and non-alcoholic beverages (2.7 pct), Recreation and culture (1.5 pct), Health (1.2 pct), Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (1.0 pct), Furnishings, household equipment and routine household maintenance (0.9 pct), in the groups Transport and Restaurants and hotels (by 0.8 pct each), Alcoholic beverages and tobacco (0.3 pct), Education (0.2 pct) and Communication (0.1 pct). A decrease of prices was noted in the group Clothing and footwear (-0.6 pct)," the statement said.
Prices of other goods and services mostly remained unchanged, it also said.
