Basta, Turkish investor discuss investments in Serbia

BELGRADE- Serbian Minister of Economy Rade Basta met on Thursday with the owner of the Turkish textile company Tepar Tekstil, Hasan Tepe, who is interested in investing in Serbia.

Basta said the Serbian government and his ministry would support investors who intended to do business in Serbia, an official statement said.

He said the Ministry of Economy was a dependable partner to businesspeople and that its goal was to retain existing jobs as well as to create new ones to further improve Serbia's economic environment.

Basta said new investment projects confirmed Serbia's economic and political stability and added that, as minister of economy, he would continue to support companies that intended to do business in Serbia.

Tepe said he was interested in investing in the Serbian textile industry.
