BELGRADE - Last year, the Energy Community earmarked Serbia as the energy leader primarily due to reforms it has launched in the sector as well as due to its decarbonisation process, Serbian Minister of Mining and Energy Dubravka Djedovic Handanovic said on Monday.
Speaking at the Belgrade Energy Forum conference hosted by the Balkan Green Energy News portal, Djedovic Handanovic said Serbia had done more in the sector in the past two years than in an entire decade and that the results would also be presented to the relevant parliamentary committee.
"We have launched long-delayed reforms when it comes to the energy sector, the (national power company) EPS in particular, so the EPS has been consolidated both financially and production-wise," she said.
