Vucic receives farewell visit from Swiss ambassador

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic received a farewell visit from Swiss Ambassador to Belgrade Urs Schmid on Wednesday and said he hoped the diplomat's successor would continue to help attract Swiss investments to Serbia, given the increasingly favourable conditions for doing business and investing in the country.

"A very good conversation with Ambassador Urs Schmid. I thanked him for contributing, through his committed work, to advancement and strengthening of overall relations and cooperation between Serbia and Switzerland," Vucic wrote in an Instagram post.

The parties agreed that bilateral political dialogue and economic cooperation were on an upward trajectory.

"I expressed gratitude for the assistance Switzerland is providing to Serbia in establishment of dual education and for its support for Serbia's European path," Vucic also wrote.
