Vucic congratulates EC president on new five-year term

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic on Wednesday congratulated European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen on a new five-year term and expressed the hope they would together lead Serbia and the region to EU membership.

"Congratulations to Ursula von der Leyen and the EU Commission on the five-year mandate. I expect that you will continue to work in the interest of peace and prosperity for European citizens, and that together we will lead Serbia and the region to full membership in the EU," Vucic wrote in a post on X.
