I took the opportunity to express, in addition to a desire that we advance our relations further in all spheres of social life, also a desire and a hope that he will visit Serbia because Serbia was the country where support for President Trump's election was the highest in all of Europe," Vucic said in a video posted on his buducnostsrbijeav Instagram account.
Vucic said Trump had expressed gratitude for the enormous support from the people of Serbia and the Serbs, and expressed the belief he would be able to speak with Trump in the period to come about further advancement of bilateral relations in all areas.
"I am certain that, also with support from our friends - and by friends I mean all the people around President Trump, who were also with him during the conversation - he will make America great and that we will be able to make Serbia a decent country and a country that will be able to cooperate with the US well, very well," Vucic said.
He said the conversation with Trump had been cordial and substantial.
