TRONDHEIM - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Tuesday that, for him, too, the Kosovo-Metohija status issue was a finished affair under the UN Charter and UN SC Resolution 1244. Vucic was speaking to Serbian reporters in Trondheim, Norway.
Commenting on a statement by Pristina's PM Albin Kurti, who has said he would not go to Brussels only for a deal on vehicle licence plates but for a comprehensive Belgrade-Pristina agreement on a mutual recognition, Vucic said: "OK, he can go to Brussels when he wants and the way he wants, it is up to him."
"Did he say that the status issue is a finished affair as far as he is concerned? The status issue has long been a finished affair for me, too, under the UN Charter and UN SC Resolution 1244," Vucic said.
"I wish him a safe trip to Brussels," he added ironically.
Speaking to Germany's Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Kurti has said he would not go to Brussels for talks about the vehicle licence plates issue but for a comprehensive agreement that he claims must be reached by the spring of 2023.
